1407 S Main Chapel Way
I was in the Waugh Chapel Shopping Center and was going to hit up Red Robin for lunch. Yuuuummmmm. At the last minute I changed my mind and went to Houlihan’s and had mixed feelings about the whole thing.
It started out good enough, a little before 1 pm and only about 10 customers which usually means fantastic service. I ordered my iced tea and got it in a reasonable amount of time but they were definitely not in a hurry. I was undecided between a sausage flat-bread or the Angus burger and was told the burger was great so I went with it.
Luckily I was not in a hurry because at 1:28pm my burger showed up. A half hour seemed a little long to get a burger
cooked medium but no worries. The burger also came out with lettuce and tomato which I said I didn’t want and without any condiments or the sauteed mushrooms as I had ordered so I waited until they asked me if everything was okay then let them know. They brought out the ketchup and mustard and said it would be about five minutes on the mushrooms.
At 1:36 my mushrooms arrived and I began my meal and I was hungry.
My iced tea went empty for a few minutes before it was noticed but eventually it was refilled.
I finally left at 1:53 after almost a full hour burger lunch.
I do have to say the burger was cooked perfectly and was very good but besides the extreme wait it seemed a little pricey at $12. and $3 for an iced tea seemed a little high as well. With tip you are looking at a $20 burger meal.
The staff was friendly and polite but need to get on the ball. I would definitely not want to go when it was crowded.
