After asking on this page about a good place for breakfast in Arnold and driving around around a half hour with no luck and breakfast hours gone I ended up at Mother’s right at 11am. I did get a lot of feedback for breakfast and although I love The Breakfast Shoppe and Garry’s Grill, I was specifically looking for a place in Arnold. The Naval Bagels comment came in a little too late so I will try them soon.

I pulled in to the parking lot at Mother’s and walked to the front door not quite sure if they were open. I was very happy when I pulled the door and it wasn’t locked. I still had breakfast on my mind so I grabbed a seat at the bar where I was the lone customer and was quickly greeted by the bartender ( I think his name was John) and have seen him doing his thing for years around the area. I asked for a Bloody Mary extra spicy and it was perfect. Still thinking breakfast I ordered a Benedict Arnold Burger ( cooked medium) which is a cheeseburger with a fried egg and canadian bacon. It was cooked to order as many places seem to overcook burgers which deflate the taste in my opinion. It hit the spot and John was a very friendly guy and made eating breakfast(sort of) alone enjoyable. I will have to go back on the weekend when they are open for breakfast to try an official one but this was the fix I needed.

I believe O’Laughlins is also open for breakfast on the weekends. For now it looks like McDonalds and Naval Bagels are alone during the week in the breakfast market for now, otherwise the short drive to Severna Park from Arnold is worth it if you have a breakfast need during the week.

Food: Very Good
Service: They treated me like I was all that mattered
Price: Good ( Burgers are $5 cheaper on Wednesdays)
Parking: Front row
